What Am I Working On
As has become my custom every few months, here's what I'm working on now at work. I won't repeat anything from last time that I happen to still be working on, and for confidentiality's sake I have to blur some of the details for some of these studies.
* Helping a resident attraction and retention marketing agency articulate the economic and equity benefits of city population growth.
* Quantifying the economic and employment implications of an HBCU building up innovation space on campus.
* Exploring the extent to which banks in a city are equitable in their distribution of home lending, business lending, and branch locations.
* Estimating the effect on a local economy of a full-service social services agency's work in communities throughout the city.
* Assessing the market and financial feasibility of an adaptive reuse of a former Jewish synagogue into community event space.
* Researching clinical models and market trends for an educational medical institution.
* Calculating the upfront and ongoing economic impacts of a university's long-range capital plan projects.
* Advising a university on diversifying its supplier base for procured goods and services.
* Conducting a diversity, equity, and inclusion audit of an academic institution.
* Creating interactive tools to help a community hospital understand market trends.
* Researching housing incentive programs in an urban neighborhood with multiple large-scale institutions.
* Making the case for the economic value generated to a municipality and its residents from the use of public funds to buy and preserve open space.
