Something I learned in Texas:
Coke is the generic word for soda.
Dr. Pepper is the default soda.
Therefore, "Would you like a coke?" actually means "Would you like a Dr. Pepper?"
Anyway, you can see I'm from SE Pennsylvania. At 90-100%, any other word for it than soda seems ridiculous.
