Musings on School Funding
The hubbub over our school district's financial woes has gone national. Earlier this week, the New York Times ran the article, "Budget Cuts Reach Bone for Philadelphia Schools." At this juncture, we're looking at schools opening in the fall with a principal, teachers, classroom instruction...and hardly any other staff or programming. An unpalatable prospect for a parent of two public school kids, to say the least.
