Last night, I got a chance to attend the 2013 Solas Awards banquet, hosted by the Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians. One of the honorees was Anne O'Callaghan, founder and president emeritus of the Welcoming Center. Herself an immigrant, Anne has been a tireless advocate for immigrants in the Philadelphia region. Immigrants mean so much to our region, and Anne has meant so much to them. She is, to me, a former client, a role model, and a deserving honoree. Congrats, Anne!
