With entitlements playing a role in Europe's financial crisis and America's presidential election, it's instructive to consider how they'll play out in Asia, by far the world's most populous continent. Kudos to The Economist (loving my new subscription) for coverage on this momentous issue:
"Asian Welfare States: New Cradles to Graves." A booming population and high economic growth now, but tough decisions ahead to balance safety nets with the mechanisms to pay for them, and to reform government structures to make sound decisions to put these plans in place. Stay tuned.
