The Economic Impact of Digital Exclusion


You may know that the FCC is coming out with a National Broadband Plan later this month, in response to some stimulus funds intended to move the US towards more universal "always on" home Internet access. In conjunction with a Philly-based advocacy organization, Digital Impact Group, my firm has authored the first attempt at estimating the cost of digital exclusion in the US. (PricewaterhouseCoopers did a similar effort in the UK last October.) You can click here to check out the report; as of yesterday, it is available to the public, as we have submitted it to the FCC as part of their open response process and in advance of a digital inclusion summit they are hosting next week.
