Gas Man Says Tax Me

Good lord, the freaking CEO of ExxonMobil thinks a carbon tax is the way to go: "Exxon CEO Advocates Emissions Tax." [Link courtesy of Greg Mankiw's blog.] How painfully obvious does this have to get before we move on this?

That's really interesting. Perhaps he sees more regulations looming in the future, and would prefer a clean and simple carbon tax instead.

That's a pretty good indication that this sort of change, however it is formulated, is coming soon.
